Introducing Annette Poechman

Annette, founder of Student Success has worked as an academic performance coach, and career and employment counsellor with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities for over 15 years. Working with students since she was a student herself, Annette has assisted high school, college and university students to achieve their academic potential and reach their career goals.

Annette earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from McMaster University, and holds a Master of Education in Counselling from the University of Western Ontario. She has worked in community settings, as well as in high schools.

Annette understands the concerns of parents whose children are not reaching their full potential. Academic accomplishments and career success are key predictors of happiness, and Annette assists students in improving their performance in both of these areas. Many students fit life around school -- instead of school around life -- and this can result in challenges that impede success.

Annette works with students to build a framework of skills and abilities that allow them to reach their academic potential, to be successful in any environment, and to make choices that will lead to career satisfaction.
